Aradial Extends MTN Rwanda Internet Network
Aradial Policy Controller Provides Metro Wi-Fi Connectivity to Kigali

Toronto, Canada | [07/01/2010]: Aradial (www.aradial.com), a global provider
of AAA, billing, user management and policy control solutions for IP service
providers (including Wi-Fi, WiMAX, wireline Internet, VoIP, IPTV and mobile
data), today announced that leading cellular operator MTN Rwanda has deployed
the Aradial AAA and Policy Control solution to provide Wi-Fi services to the
city of Kigali.
Relying on Aradial’s AAA and billing for
wide area Wi-Fi, the solution integrates with access controllers to manage
Wi-Fi base stations. Aradial’s deployment operates with Ericsson’s intelligent
network over MTN’s provisioning infrastructure to ensure zero charging leakages
in the operator’s prepaid billing.

garden portal for user login, bandwidth management, and real‑time network

and future subscribers.”

The Aradial solution incorporates an external
and centralized Aradial Radius server that supports a range of hotspot
controllers. It manages multiple wide area Wi-Fi base stations that use
beam-forming technology to provide access to the city as well as to rural
areas. It will allow the Rwandan operator to offer better Internet connectivity
to its customers, increasing its profitability while eliminating the overhead
associated with customer provisioning, authorization and accounting.
